Borderless VS fullscreen gaming at 144Hz (with f.lux)

Hi everyone,

Nowadays I mostly play games in borderless mode (since I have two screens and I am using f.lux even when I game), I was wondering if it stills take advantage of my 144Hz 1080p monitor?

The monitor is configured with a refresh rate of 144Hz in my desktop options, so I guess playing in borderless windows means it takes into account this refresh rate aswell?

The performance hit is not much or not noticeable between borderless and fullscreen for me since I have a good setup, but since f.lux doesn't work on fullscreen I don't have much of a choice.,

Somebody knows or can explain to me if it still works the same way between borderless and fullscreen gaming at 144Hz?

Thanks a lot !

yes, borderless or windowed runs at desktop refresh rate configuration. thats why if the game has a refresh rate option would be grayed out.! at least thats what happens when i run Neverwinter : dungeons & dragons . there would be an impact on performance, depending the hardware of course! however if a game is locked to, lets say 60fps, you wont see any higher numbers even running your desktop at 144hz!
