1) Borg can not assimilate Xtals, but Xtals can turn Borg into their
own colonists??!

2) Xtal attacks and looses, but still converts Borg???!
Note: This may not be limited to Xtals but could be true for Ground
Assault in general!

Here is a log entry of a similation:
"Our forces are attacking a base belong to race 1. Our forces have
been captured. Attacking force strength after battle: <x> Defending
strength after battle: <y> Removing implants from captured Cyborg
<z> Cyborg turned into colonists"

I would say both are clear bugs. Any other opinions or explanations?

and after my recent combat.

it appears that the Bots can convert captured borg into colonists as
well :)

I think these are bugs, if the Borg can not assmilate your race into
drones, you shouldn't be able to covert them into your own colonists by
removing implants.

Exactly my opinion. I have no problem with any "conversion", as long as
it is in both directions.

Just for completness: Sols and Bots should also not be able to make
colos out of Borgs. I haven't tested if they currently can.

Sure, sure but if Feds would never enter the chain (like Xtal never
can) then it is difficult to understand how you can get any out of it!

Well... I guess if one assumes that not all colonists in any given race is
actually from that race, then this would make sense. I think one has to
assume that given the fact that Cyborgs can be turned into colonists
anywhere. eg. The Borg assimilate millions of Bird and Stormer peoples in a
game. They in turn get conquered by the Federation, and the Federation
removes the implants and turns the cyborgized birds and stormes into
colonists, so in essence they have people of the Birds and Stormers as
colonists. If the Fed can do it or any other race can I don't see why the
crystals can't.

To me it's one and the same. There exists a technology to deborgify a
creature, I don't see how a race wouldn't have this technology just because
they can't be borgified to begin with. All you're doing is removing an
implant. Just like with the Robots and their ability to make food with
farms. They don't need the technology at all as they don't eat food, but
it's such a simple technology why not utilize it to make food to turn into
supplies. I guess it's just how you want to imagine it. To me it's just as
goofy to imagine deborgified Centaur running around a Stormers as running
around a Crystal base. In fact, it's less goofy than a deborgified Rebel
running around a Evil Empire base. I don't see this as a bug but a way of
interpretting with imagination what is going on. What Tim's intentions are I
don't know, but with the standards as they are now (meaning you can get
colonists from deborgified borgs even if your own race has never been
assimilated in game) it makes more sense to me that the Crystals, Sols, and
Robots can deborgify a creature rather than they can't.

If it is so simple to turn a Borg into a Xtal, why it is impossible to
turn a Xtal into a Borg then? ;-)))

Well, we don't have to solve this. Things don't have to be logic and if
Tim is happy with it the way it is now, then so be it. There are other
things hard to explain, this is just 1 more. *shrug*
