Both fans spinning at high speed on GTX 970, can't control it

So i use MSI afterburner to check on my Video card, and as of yesterday my fans just started going super fast and haven't stopped yet. MSI afterburner says its only at 28% speed and when i try to up the speed it stays the same, it's also clocking 300rpm when it's actually much higher than that as i can hear the fans going nuts from across the room, any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would recommend uninstalling MSI afterburner. Does the excess spinning stop? Then reinstall it.
