So I turned my PC on this morning and was browsing reddit for perhaps 5 minutes before both of my monitors lost signal to my PC as if they had been unplugged from it. To try to access the problem, I :

  • Turned my PC off and on again
Plugged one of my monitors into the Motherboard, which worked
    Ran chkdsk c: /r /x
Took my graphics card out and reattached all of its cables
Started using a different PCI-E cable to attach it to the PCU
Insert my graphics card into the other port on the motherboard
While doing this, I noticed that my graphics card would flicker on for less than a second when I boot it up, and then occasionally as the PC is running. Everything else seems to be getting power just fine.

For parts, I have:

  • EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
    Corsair Builder Series CX500 V2
MSI Gaming Intel H270 DDR4 HDMI USB 3 ATX Motherboard
    Intel Core i5-7600K CPU @ 3.80 GHz
    2 CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 8GB 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400
    Windows 10

Solution
Only way to confirm that the GPU is dead is to try in another system. or trying a new one in your system. Based on the fact that it worked whaen you plugged into MB, tells me it's probably GPU, maybe PSU related. I'd start there.
