Bottleneck E8600 and ASUS Stix 960 4GB OC ?

I need a graphics card which can handle games at 1080p@60fps or even 1440p
I was wondering is the Asus Strix GTX 960 4GB OC will bottleneck the E8600 CPU?

You have that backwards, the e8500 is going to be a big bottleneck for a 960. CPU is just too slow to keep up with modern cards in modern games.

Just to make a correction its the E8600 CPU but i wouldn't think that it would make a difference, how about a 750ti with 4gb ram or 2gb ram.

Or even a standard strix 960 with 2gb/4gb ram giving there is a small price difference.

Get the card you want. If it's the 960 that's fine but you will need to oc and eventually upgrade. Even a very fast quad core xeon or c2q will bottleneck a 960. You can't hope for much with a decade old processor. Reason I say get the 960 is because you can always upgrade the rest later (only really need mobo and newer cpu can even reuse ram if you don't get skylake) without having to buy another gpu.
