My system
i5 4690
GTX 1660
500w EVGA psu
16gb ddr3

So i installed the GPU and psu last night and turned on Day Z at high settings and then turned off V sync and then my cpu maxed out but I didn't dare keep those settings to see if they evened out incase I damage anything. Probably abit too over cautious. So the question is will my CPU hold me back a great deal in games and if it does am I going to have to put in a new mobo and ddr4 ram as well as a new cpu? On a side note will high usage of both the CPU and GPU damage them if temps are okay?

If Temps are OK, it will not damage your component.

The GTX 1660 is more of a 60fps max settings card than a 144hz one.

Even if the 4690 gets utilized fully, it should be able to give you 60fps.

100% utilization comes as a no surprise. 4 cores 4 threads is the bare minimum nowadays.
