I have a ryzen 3 1200 and a 1050 ti.

I was playing a game of fortnite yesterday and went to check my task manager and my cpu usage was at 70-98% while my Gpu was at 45-50%.Is that bottleneck and will upgrading work since Im going to get Ryzen 7 2700.

Btw.Will a better cpu help with multitasking since my cpu gets high when I am on chrome and other things. When I am in windows settings it get at 11-15% cpu usage. My friend has alot if things opened with a Ryzen 5 and his cpu usage is at 4%

The 1200 is fine for general use, but, 4c/4t CPUs are notorious for being 'not enough' for most games worth playing these days...

Just because a given CPU is more than enough to saturate the GTX1050 is no reason to avoid it if the price is right. (R5-1600 and even 2700X are at great price levels these days...; but a 1600/2600 is a generally respected minimum target for a starting point in most gaming system builds. (Now the 3600 is the latest $199 'must have'!)

Oh ok thanks.Like I said.My friend has a Ryzen 5 and he can multitask and have chrome and discord up with 4-5% cpu usage while I go to my windows settings and I already have 11-15% with one windows opened and as you saw tbat I said that my cpu was bottlenecked.I never had that much cpu usage before. Now thatvis probably the reason that I have fps drops all the time since my cpu didnt go that high before(50-70%)
