[SOLVED] Bought 165hz monitor, but I can only run 60hz if I use full HD?

I bought the ASUS VG278QR (My first monitor i've bought since around like 2014, all my previous monitors have been 60hz or less) and it goes up to 165 hz. I can get it to normally use 165 hz, but if i use the Full HD option, it wont go past 59/60hz. Why?
