Bought 2400MHz modules over 1600MHz as they were cheaper. Any problem?

Bought a Corsair vengeance pro ram kit. So two 2400MHz 4GB modules. I've only just found out that 1600MHz would've been well suited as 2400 won't make much difference at all. I'm not fussed on the speed. As long it works and it's supposed to be in the system. Can you guys shed some light on this?

Some claim 1600mhz is better for gaming due to the lower latency allowing for higher FPS. I have yet to see one conclusive article supporting this claim. Corsair makes good products and their ram is no exception. I have their 16gb 2400mhz kit in my work computer and haven't had any failures or issues with them.

If you don't like 2400mhz, you can downclock them but I see no reason to.
