So I bought a 1050 ti with no brand name on it. It's got Chinese symbols on the fans anyway when I put it in and boot up computer it doesn't show the device in manage and won't go above 1280 x 1024 so I download the Nvidia geforce thing and I do express install and it automatically detects my driver and downloads it for me. Then I go into Device manager and it recognizes a 1050 ti but now it has a yellow warning (!) next to it so I don't know what to do at this point... I tried downloading MSI afterburner to see if it would recognize it and what it is clocking it at but it doesn't even seem to think I have a GPU connected... Not sure what to do here, please help.

Did this monstrosity also come with a disk of drivers? If so, you may have a malware/virus problem now, too. I'd check and if you can't find anything, for security reasons, I'd recommend a full wipe-and-reinstall of your operating system drive.
Yeah all the above.

It's a shame, so many knockoffs about. Sellers from China play a big part in this.
That's where mine shipped from... it has chinese symbols on the fans and when I tried loading a game it was prompting me in Chinese. Anyway after I took the thing out and put in my old card I tried watching a show just a minute ago and I got a window pop up in front of me and I saw some chinese writing and the website said "unsecured" in the top left in what I think was chrome. I'm not sure though because I closed it out afap when I saw that. Not sure which browser it was though because I checked my search history for chrome and mozilla and neither of them showed anything.......

File a claim with eBay tell them your item was not as described. The fact they didn't sell you an actual 1050ti should be plenty. When you order a new card, an rx 570 or RX 580 would be faster but still should be reasonably priced. Though you may need to upgrade your power supply.
