We bought a new pc and it has 2TB but the Windows ( C: ) only has 149GB and 95.9GB free to use. On the other hand the Data ( D: ) has 1.65TB and 1.59TB free to use but if i try to download something its set to the Windows ( C: ). So i have to make sure it downloads in the Data ( D: ) and then download it. Should i be doing this or am i doing something wrong? Have i not done something that somehow makes the Windows ( C: ) get all those GB's? Please respond.
We bought this pc: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/asus-asus-m32ad-pc-brushed-metal-intel-core-i7-4790-2tb-hdd-16gb-ram-nvidia-gtx750-2gd5-windows-8-1-m32ad-ca008s/10322688.aspx

The most likely reason it's like that is because you have one hard drive (which is 2TB) but it's split into two different spaces (aka partitions).

As for directing downloads, depending on the program you can go into the settings of that program and make it download to the D drive by default.
