Bought a defect motherboard!

Hi guys,

I just bought a defect(shorted) motherboard and my question is;

Will it damage my working psu if I connect it and try to power it on?

Sometimes it is booting and sometimes it is not(Seller told me)

it might kill everything you plug into it.

dead motherboards are deadly to everything in your system.

It could be anything. And yes, it could kill other things.

What else do you have plugged into it?
Did you buy the board knowing it was bad?

"Repairing" a motherboard is near impossible.
Unless you can visually see whatever component is cooked, broken off, melted...how will you determine?
