Bought a new CPU, will I need Thermal Paste

I know the CPU I bought comes with a heat-sink but I don't know if it comes pre-applied, my friends told me it does but i want to be sure before i decide to not buy some.
I purchased a brand new AMD a10 7700k straight from AMD online.

All AMD CPU in BOX edition have pre-applied thermal paste on heatsink.
