So i bought a Fx 6300 3.5 Ghz Black Edition to go with my Asus M5A78L M/USB3 motherboard. The problem is that there is no beep on startup whatsoever and no display as well, the lights and fans keep working but I get no beep or display of any sort.

Full specs: 4x2 Corsair Vengeance, Seasonic s12ii 620W.

It should be perfectly compatible.
It is listed on the site as being under the table of compatible CPUs, it's serial number is: FD6300WMW6KHK.

Ensure that all cables are plugged in correctly and the the PSU, surge protector and wall socket are all turned on.

If you had an old CPU in there before, the BIOS could just be freaking out.
Try using your old CPU to update the bios to be in line with the FX 6300, because it released after the motherboard, and is a refresh CPU.
Edit: If it is still not booting, check the voltage indicators if there are any.

Thing is I only have one processor, my old one got fried.

have you cleared the CMOS?
Connector 8 on page 1-7 in the manual.

Yeah you're right. What happened was that my Motherboard got fried and so did my CPU as well, changed both of 'em.

Haha, probably something more important to note in your original post next time! :)
