Bought a R9 280, have a Corsair CXM 750W modular - need power cables

Hi crew,

I have bought a R9 280 (absolute bargain on Amazon at the moment, £132), and I have a modular Corsair CXM 750w power supply, however the extra cables seem to have gone missing - is there anywhere I can buy these cables?

I need one 6 pin PCI-E express cable to fit into both my power supply and the card, and one 8 pin.

I am located in the UK.

The PSU should have come with two of these types of cables although the ones with your specific PSU were probably flat cables (i.e. not round with mesh sleeve).

Yeah I have managed to lose the original PSU ones, so with one of these cables I can connect my GPU? It says it requires 1 6 pin and 1 8 pin, which clearly this cable has, so just one will be enough?

Yes.

You can buy two cables, if you want to. That's your decision to make.

Those 6+2 pin PCI-E connectors should work and yes you can connect your GPU to the power supply.
