Bought a refurbished Surface Pro 3 with Windows 10, and the seller kept their password on it.

I cannot enter the laptop because it is password protected. I tried contacting him and booting to a usb device with windows 10, but still no luck. Wondering if there are any ways to just reset the computer completely.

you'll need to reinstall windows 10 then to get the surface back to factory settings. I think you should just be able to boot into a USB stick setup with the W10 ISO. But if not you'll have to go into to BIOS to get it done.

a fresh install from a usb or dvd should set it all back to factory and remove that password.

select for it to remove everything or it will keep it though.
