Just a quick question. Can I somehow copy over my OS from my HDD to my SSD? Maybe it's called something I dno.. Something called OS ghosting, what is that?
They sell cloning software you can google for. Symantec has one. There's a few others that are fairly good. Best thing to do is to install windows on the SSD from scratch along with your drivers and programs/games. It will take some time, but your PC will run faster and more efficiently and then you can plugin the old drive as a slave.
Im having some issues... Im trying to clone my OS with EaseUS Todo Backup with optimize for SSD and "sector by sector", but it says I have insufficent space...
This HDD is 285GB total. I have only used 61GB. My SSD is 111GB total with 63.8GB space left. Why cant I clone my OS, I dont get it...I just want my got damn Windows 8.1 pro and BF4 to my SSD, then im all set... BF4 is done, but help me with the OS plz
Cloning copies everything to the ssd.
If you want to move only windows then there is only one option and its not free. Its Paragons Migrate OS to SSD and its $20 after a coupon code you can readily find online.
