[SOLVED] Bought an external drive enclosure and a SSD to go with it, but cannot get it to work.

As the title says, i have tried everything to get it to work. CHKDSK won't run, it pops up in explorer when i plug it in and then disappears soon after and i keep getting the please insert a disk error. Any help would be very appreciated.

What SSD...what enclosure.

It an Orico USB 3.0 2.5" External Hard Drive 2.5 inch Enclosure (2189U3) with a 500GB Samsung 860 evo

I would suspect a faulty enclosure, or cable, or USB port before a faulty drive.
I had a similar Orico enclosure....DOA from the store..

I was hoping this wasn't going to be the case, will have to take it back and see whats happens i guess, thanks for your help

Does that drive work in anything else?
If so, its not the drive that's bad.
