I have an old Athlon x2 64 4600+ PC laying around, and I thought I'd give it to a friend that doesn't have a gaming PC.

Now, I know it's not new by any means, but he enjoys playing LoL and Garry's Mod so I thought this machine would be perfect (a free machine, can't complain haha).

Anyways, I went out and bought an ATi HD 5770. I came home and installed it into the case, powered it up and went to go download the latest AMD CCC driver.

I got the driver and installed it, but when I reboot my system, I'm greeted with a "No AMD graphics driver Installed" message.

What's up with that? The card was installed within a freshly formatted Windows 7 computer, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Specs:

Athlon x2 64 4600+
2GB DDR2 RAM
ATi HD 5770 1GB
Windows 7 x86

And yes, I downloaded the 32 bit driver.

Help!!!!

your PC fond the card? do you check the device manager any indications?
how abt your motherboard ? is any graphics card prev installed in it, is worked fine?

btw you GPU is extremely power full compared to the old Processor.

Yup, the card is found in Device Manager.

I'm reinstalling Windows 7 right now, gonna check to see if that was the problem.

No. There was no previous installation of a card. Heck, it used to be on Vista so I formatted and installed Windows 7.

I'm guessing the Omega drivers are the only one left supported by AMD?

Should I install the drivers from the included ATi CD?

Finished installing the drivers, and I restarted the PC.

When I get to the desktop, I'm greeted with: "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware."

The thing is, I installed the Omega drivers which was made for the series of cards
