Hey I bought an xbox controller adapter for Windows 10. It was not from an official store though, I found sombody selling it online pretty cheap. The texts are in all in english but then in russian and the sender's writing was weird so that's kind of a red flag. I was just wondering if the thumb drive isn't hacked or something or how I would identify if it is. But also it definitely looks like the official xbox adapter, it also came in the official box. What do you think? Thanks.

"Pretty cheap" is not a good sign.....

Official boxes mean little. All to easy to take out a legitimate/good adapter and throw in some counterfeit or even broken adapter.

Many products come with multi-language documentation and weird "writing" could be the result of any number of causes/reasons. Can be warning flags but serious scammers have learned to avoid or minimize such indicators.

My suggestion:

List the website's URL.

Someone may recognize the site's legitimacy one way or another.
