So, I bought a used SSD as a Christmas present to myself. I installed it and when I got to my "This PC" screen on my computer, I noticed a E: System Reserved drive as well as my F: drive. In task manager it says Disk 1 is E: and F:. I did some research and it says that the E: drive is caused by having windows on more than one drive. Yet I only have windows installed on my C: drive. The E: drive is empty when I open it but says 483mb free out of 498mb. Anyone know the cause of this?

System reserved is a normal partition created during Windows setup.

Did you actually install Windows clean on that SSD? Did you delete the partitions when you installed the drive if you did?

No, I didn't.

You don't want to be using someone else's Windows setup, re-install Windows clean on that drive.

It's not my boot drive.

I put * stuff on it already

So move that stuff off, wipe the drive, and start over.
