Basically the title.

I bought this crappy walmart TV because it was cheap.

TV link here

Anyways it only shows input from one of the HDMI ports (the port labeled as MHL HDMI, whatever that is).

Is this normal or are the other HDMI ports defective? The PC recognizes the TV being connected no matter which HDMI port I use, the TV just won't show anything unless its on the MHL HDMI port.

If i can't fix this I need to return this for a better TV. I only bought it because I need a 2nd monitor that I can conveniently switch back and forth from my Home PC to my work laptop. I don't want to be changing cables everytime i need to switch.

Does anyone know if this sounds normal or if there is something i can do for it to work on the other ports?

Thanks in advance guys

I am not enough of a guru about this but as they are labeled differently they must be different in some way. This could have to do with the video card/chip involved. I'm told older cards might have issues resolved in newer hardware. If you google MHL it is apparently an acronym for mobile high definition link so it's not just a generic hdmi plug apparently. There are so many freaking plugs out there these days it reminds me of the 90's and later when every other month some new stuff was coming out to give you more headaches. Check the forums for your machines or video cards if it's a desktop only ideas I've got for now.
