However in theory it should work fine in most DDR3 boards, but you won't know for certain without trying it. More of a concern would be pairing it with RAM that run's at 1.5v, I didn't think you could mix different voltages but not sure, maybe someone else can comment on that.

There's a note in the standard (provided by the Wikipedia citation) if you need further proof that DDR3L can operate with 1.5V. Or at least operate as a DDR3 module.
