Hello gentlemen, so yea I bought new monitor like a week ago ( AOC Q27G4XF 180HZ, 2560 x 1440 ) and I don't know if my eyes just got used to high fps and refresh rate or something but I saw some videos people playing good games on 2K monitor and they look buttery smooth on 60fps. So just wanted to ask maybe I bought like a bad monitor or something maybe I set it up wrong or I don't know. Maybe my pc is too old for something like this, cause I have RTX 2060, maybe that has to do with something, also maybe my display port of this pc is outdated. Cause imma buy RTX 4070ti Super pretty soon, well a whole new pc so maybe it's gonna feel smooth then but I don't know if that adds anything. Just wanna get to the bottom of this cause I read so many threads and don't see what could be the problem, so yea feel free to comment and help if you can, I can add pics or other stuff if needed just ask, thank u.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

What game(s) is(are) you taxing the system/display with? What driver version are you on for your Nvidia GPU?

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600
Motherboard: AMD B450M-K
Ram: 16GB DDR4
SSD/HDD: Samsung 980 1TB (SSD)
GPU: RTX 2060
PSU:
OS: Windows 10

Newest drivers, had this pc for like 5 years

If you run a game (any game) at a different rate from what the monitor is set at you will always get weird things happening.
Set the monitor to run ay 60FPS and then 60FPS games should look as good as possible.
That's why g-sync and free sync are are slowly becoming a standard, they adjust the monitor to the games frame rate automatically giving you the best results.

Do you mean like set my monitor to 60hz or? Cause i tried doing that, then tried to cap my fps to 60fps it still seems choppy you know

What was your previous monitor? Going up to 1440p with a 2060 on more recent game titles is likely to be challenging.

1080p = 2 million pixels
1440p = 3.7 million pixrls
Should be about twice has hard to run.

You should also consider that any video content you are watching has been recorded, encoded (compressed), and then compressed again by the hosting service. This may compromise your ability to perceive how the game performs on their systems.

Yea i had 1080p one, cant tell u exactly what it was but yea 144hz and no like g-sync nothing so made sense. And yea watched some vids of guy recording through like camera not like in game recording you know, but yea i guess your right and well i know might not be the same as i see. But yea i read all of articles as well and they say they play games at 1440p, 60fps silky smooth so i kinda started questioning everything if i got the right monitor or smth. Just wanna know if i get the rtx 4070ti super that might change yk, well imma get new pc, new motherboard everything so just thinking if thats gonna change and gonna make it so i can play games on 1440p, 60fps at least and enjoy them like im playing them with 100+fps yk

Certainly sounds like you just need more GPU. I would hold out for the RTX 5070 unless you are looking at the used market. Of course we would need to know the PSU before making any higher power requirement suggestions.

And with a BIOS update you can get a 5000 series CPU like the 5700X or 5700X3D/5800X3D without having to change everything.

DDR4 is pretty cheap, so getting 2x16GB memory kit to replace your current memory wouldn't be too bad either. But only if you are encountering situations where you exceed 16GB of memory while gaming.

Just feel like there is no point for me to upgrade this one just cause i kinda need to change almost everthing and well i have some cash set aside for new pc so im like why not yk haha I would buy that rtx 4070ti super after they release 50series cause well prices should drop yk and well i live in Lithuania and well new things like that gonna cost a fortune for sure here and also i saw kinda need to run a lot of games on DLSS cause native kinda bad, i mean u kinda need to run DLSS anyways but yea, unless im wrong cause i only get like deep into PC's when im buying something. Just i hope when i buy new pc, gonna get Windows 11 and will see maybe that 60fps gonna feel a lot better and smooth, cause now it feels like gsync aint working or smth or i hope i dont need to get a refund or smth and get a new monitor
