Bought new backup HD, should I use it for the main HD since it is newer?

Two years ago I bought two 3TB WD Green drives--one for main storage and one for backup. The backup is starting to fail (even though it is seldom used).

I ordered a new Seagate Barracuda 3TB (trying a different brand since this is the third WD I've had fail).

Since the Seagate is newer should I use it for the main HD now? (my main HD is still working fine)
Or is this a case if "if it ain't broke don't fix it" and leave things as they are?

Thanks!

If the Seagate is a 7200rpm drive, I would use it as your "main" drive since the Greens are slower and really more appropriate for storage and backup.
