Bought new case, transferred parts, won't post/beep/boot

I have been up all day and all night trying to figure out what this issue is. I recently purchased a Corsair 230T and switched all of the components from my old case to the new one. Everything seems to power ok, but do not hear the normal one time beep. My monitor is also black - it does not say "Check Signal Cable", it is just black.

Here is more information;

Motherboard: ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3
RAM: Ripjaw (4gb) x2
Processor: AMD Phenom II X6

I noticed that the jumper cap was missing, because I mistaked it as a 3 pin connector for a fan. As I could not find it, I took a cap from the back of an unused CD rom, hoping it would fix the issue, but it did not. I am sure this was part of it though.

I have tried resetting the CMOS/CLRTC by switching the cap from 1-2 to 2-3, even taking the battery out. No luck.

I have also swapped my two ram sticks and tried every single slot, but still the same. I took all parts out except PSU, Motherboard, and CPU + CPU Cooler, still same issue.

I'd also like to add I took apart my power supply to clean out a lot of built up dust. Not sure if this would affect anything or not.

Everything powers fine, it just doesn't boot/POST. Any help?

I know how it feels. Your best bet is to re-assemble the PC out side of the case. Make sure all of the standoffs are installed correctly as not all cases come with them installed. However i'm thinking this is more towards your PSU (Power Supply Unit)

The new case includes preinstalled standoffs. I also assembled the motherboard outside of the case, but the issue was the same. What information do you need?

Unfortunately no, but I have a best buy gift card so I can go out and buy a power supply and return it if it doesn't fix it. I also think it's the power supply, because I might have messed something up when unscrewing it and poked around inside it.

Remember to buy the decent brans like Corsair, EVGA, Coolermaster and Antec

I actually found an old computer and am going to test the PSU with the motherboard now.

I installed a power supply from a windows xp computer with motherboard/cpu+cpu cooler/ram and still has same error. No beep, no video.

I am using a GeForce GTX 760 but the fans run on 100% if I connect it to the motherboard, so I am just using my onboard graphics card temporarily until this issue is resolved

You really should not be "poking around" inside of a PSU. The capacitors contain high voltages and if you do not know how to properly discharge them they can be dangerous.

As stated earlier I tried a different power supply unit but it will still not boot. What steps should I take next?

Tell me more about the issue with your motherboard and the fans a 100% this could have an affect on the problem.

I bought a corsair 750w power supply (for room to expand later down the road) but the same issue still occurs. And for the graphics card, I believe it runs at 100% because it is not configured at a speed. I tried resetting CLRTC so that could be the problem. I also tried starting it without the graphics card installed but still no beep. I thought I could have the motherboard speaker installed but triple checked.

I should add that I did clean all of the components with powerful air pressure (possibly too powerful.) Green light turns on the motherboard, everything powers ok, but no beep at all - not even if I have the RAM removed etc.

Yes I am aware, but shouldn't I get an error beep from my speaker? I get no beeps at all trying anything.

Yeah I do have it plugged in

I ordered a new motherboard it should be here tomorrow. Made sure it supports ram/cpu and graphics card. I'll update you then.

An update...

I purchased a new motherboard (M5A 78L-M LX PLUS) and everything was mostly fine (I had troubles getting the motherboard to recognize my GTX 760). I updated the BIOS, restarted multiple times after editing settings in the BIOS, and then also reseated the graphics card a few times. It then stopped posting. I had the USB drive to update the BIOS still in and it could have corrupted when I was constantly turning on/off the computer. I referred to my new motherboard manual to take advantage of the CrashFree but get no display and nothing when I put the .rom in a FAT32 usb drive into the motherboard. No beeps either, even without ram in (would beep if I didn't before), and everything was working fine earlier.

Okay you are probaly best to take your pc to a repair shop where they can run tests and figure out what the problem is.
