Bought new ram, need help

Hello!
Previously I had http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/khx1600c9d3k2_8g.pdf RAM.
I needed to get some more to run some virtual machines, therefor I bought this one http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/khx1600c9d3k2_8gx.pdf

Seemed similar, maybe just a little newer.

in CPU-Z I noticed that, one of rams show max bandwidth as PC3-10700 (667MHz) but otherone (new one) - PC3-12800 (800MHz).

What could be reason for this?


Aswell, whats best clocks/voltage to run this? From the info I got on kingston web page (links above) I set them to 9-9-9-27 and 1.65V. Are these right speeds?

What kind of CPU are you using? You may need to activate a XMP profile in the bios to get the ram to run at full speed.

Im running I7-2600.

Appreantly, my old "seller" have wrong info on their web about my first ram. It doesnt have XMP.
New one does have XMP.

Whats best sollution? Just set everything to auto in BIOS?

Maybe you just need to activate the right CMP profile on the new one? I suspect it's the one running slower as it has XMP profiles and most of the time you'll need to select one.
