So I bought a new drive that's bigger than my current C Drive. I want to do a fresh install of my Win 10. However, I only have a Win 8.1 disk, as I was someone who upgraded for free digitally. What is the process to put Win 10 on the new SSD. Thanks.

Get at least a 4GB USB flash drive.

Boot up with the Flash drive and install empty SSD.

Once online it should self activate. (It will look at your hardware and it'll realize it's been activated once before).

Thanks! Will give it a go.

@A blank USB flash drive or DVD (and DVD burner) with at least 4 GB of space if you want to create media. We recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD, because any content on it will be deleted.
