Question Bought new usb drive but storage already used

I bought a brand new, 128 gb usb flash drive from microcenter. It was delivered the next day by Amazon. I looked at the properties, and upwards of 700 kilobytes was already used. I'm curious. Should I be concerned or is this normal, and if so, what is the reason for it?

If you are concerned, right click on the drive in Windows Explorer when its plugged in, hit format and reformat it.

This is normal. The file system requires overhead to function and to perform the duties of a file system

I have a 64gb (57.6) usb flash drive from microcenter, it shows 128kb used. Mine is formatted FAT32.

So nothing to worry about, I always format USB flash drives again myself , but that is personal preference.
