bought window 8 laptop from cash converters after sometime would not boot up,cannot find product key anywhere on computer

LAPTOP BECAME FAULTY, WILL NOT BOOT UP, CANNOT FIX DUE TO THERE BEING NO 25 DIGIT KEY PRESENT ANYWHERE ON THE COMPUTER.HOW WOULD FIX THIS PROBLEM WOULD IT BE ILLEGAL TO SELL A LAPTOP WITHOUT THE KEY PRESENT

Let me get this straight, you bought a computer with no disks, no key, and it quit working soon after.

Contact the place you bought it. The activation key for Windows 8 is usually not on the product as it was with Windows 7.
