I just put this rig together, the computer turns on. All fans and leds are on. Graphics card is running and all I see is a black screen, my tv that is my moniter is getting signal but just black.
Please help

List of Components
Motherboard: MSI 970A Krait Editon
PSU: Evga 500w
Graphics Card: Gigabyte Radeon Rx 460
CPU: Amd fx 4300
Hard Drive: WD Blue SATA

I'll see if that does it. Do you think it would have to do with a bad processor or graphics card.

Would it be the hdmi that's causing the problem or the tv. I could possibly try another tv. I currently have a moniter but the wrong socket. What should i try

Thanks

Alright, thanks

This is my first build, do you think my parts are good? I'm really new to all this.

All of my parts are brand new and just opened. So why are they failing?

Yes, it beeps 3 repeatedly

I just tried my new asus strix rx 460 graphics card and still same thing. I don't think my graphics card is bad.

Without graphics card in i get 1 long beep, then 2 short. I looked this up in the manual and it means that the graphics card is not seated right. I found a dvi to hdmi, that's what I used to connect to my tv. I'm getting a dvi to vga later today, that still could be the problem.

Could I get your phone number so I can text you, it will be much faster. Thanks

Then CPU, board and RAM do work. And I'd say that the graphics card too. All that remains is the connection to monitor (not tv).
So, after getting the adapter, please post back. The adapter does work only with a DVI-I port (like in the link).
What's the exact model of the graphics card?
I'll try to answer as fast as possible.

Well I now have 2,

Asus Radeon rx 460
Gigabyte Radeon rx 460
(The Asus one requires power, no big deal.)

They both have a digital dvi, would that work, the dvi to hdmi worked, but it was still black. I'll see if I can borrow a monitor.
Thanks

Yeah, that should do it.

Can I use both my graphics cards so I get 8gbs. I don't know how that works.

Thanks
