Brand New Bluetooth Adaptor Discoverability Issues

Bought a brand new Bluetooth adaptor, plug and play. No Bluetooth icon appeared in the corner when installed. Went to 'services.msc' made the service automatic and started it. Then when I right click the device and hit 'bluetooth settings' and tick the box to allow devices to find it, it tell me there's an error the device may be unplugged, cannot change discoverability settings.

is that similar to yours?
I think the problem could b e because these are cheap adapters they don't work well basically we wasted our money on junk
did you find a solution yourself?
I just got a refund from the seller of these and I'll get a brand name Bluetooth dongle now instead of a generic one
