This is a brand new build using the following components....

32 gb corsair dominator 3000 mhz with heat spreader
nzxt kraken x62
nzxt h700i case
asus maximus xi formula
i9 9900k
crucial 2 tb ssd
evga 2080 ti

After installing everything, I turned it on, black screen, everything powered on. First thing I did was using the asus easy bios upgrade then tried using the mainboard hdmi instead of the 2080 ti one and bios booted up without issue. Loaded optimised defaults, installed windows without issue. Now my probleem lies in that when I have the hdmi plugged into the gpu, windows is fine but still get a black screen with the bios, the only way to see the bios is by using the motherboard hdmi. The bios has registered that the card is seated in pci e_1 but wont let me select a gpu, it is greyed out and say something like no option available. Anybody got any suggestions? As I have never had this problem with builds in the past.

Thanks in advance for your time.
