Brand new build, power outage may have screwed up my ssd?

I litterally just built this today and was able to enjoy a very fast boot up speed with wim7 64-bit installed on my ssd drive but the power cable of course found a way to get unplugged from the wall and now the it takes an extra 20-30 seconds in order t boot up (at the "windows starting") screen. Right after I turned it back on the computer wanted to go into system repair and then it reset the pc to the back up that I had just set,

Is there anything I can do in order to get it too boot up like it was at first?

I would do a new clean install from the beginning.

I agree with rolli59; do a reinstall.
if the power spike hurt something, it most likely wouldn't work at all. I suspect something in Windows became corrupt and is trying to repair itself in the background (hence hte slow boot). Do another reinstall since you just started using it. You're only setting yourself back an hour or so.
If it continues to be slow after the reinstall, then yes, maybe something happened...

ok, I have the boot cd still along with the product key, I partitioned my ssd when I first loaded up windows 7 so, what do I do there?

also, do I have to delete windows 7 first?

You should be able to do a new full install with format!

Format basically means wiping the drive for a clean installation.

so if I just put the disk in and set the bios to boot from the cd drive, it will install with format?

It will be one of the options that you can select! Make sure your sata controller is set in ACHI mode as well!

There should be literally a forum section at the top of tomshardware where there are posts of all the horror stories of what happens to peoples computers when they do not buy a UPS...and how it all can prevented by a UPS. So people get scared...and buy a UPS.
