Brand new build won't POST

I just bought and built a new pc with the following:
i5 6600
corsair 550W Gold PSU
NZXT White H440 Case
8gb RAM(2x4)

More details needed. What board, what happens when starting the board, what you've tried so far.

Hello... 1) set your monitor for the type of cable plugged into your MB for display.
2) try re-setting/clearing your MB BIO's for default settings, and memory testing and setting mode.
3) try re-seating your ram sticks.
4) check power connections to the MB and CPU connector.
5) make sure your CPU fan is connected to the CPU_Fan connector on the MB.
6) make sure you have power to the Power Supply and it is turned on.
