Just finished building a gameing rig for my friend and works perfectly exept the front fan of the case wont actually spin without force start, its defantly getting power but im wondering if its not enough. The case is a Corsair Spec 01 http://www.corsair.com/en-us/carbide-series-spec-01-red-led-mid-tower-gaming-case and as you can see from the link it has the fan infront of the case to suck in air, this is the fan that wont spin. Im wondering if i need to connect the fan via molex to the power supply but im wondering if its something else, i will have to give it a try and reply back here but i dont have access to the pc right now. All help is much appreciated!!!

I personally, connect the front case fans directly to the PSU, I believe that if it works, it will spin at the same speed all the time, and the better, and more airflow going into the case, the better the cooling. So attempt the connection to the Molex connectors on the PSU, as this could work on startup as it is instant, and more or less a jump start for the case fans.

I am guessing you connected that fan to the Motherboard via a 3/4 pin connection. Have you tried any other fans with that connection, as it could be an issue with your motherboard.

On terms, in fact. Is there anything blocking the fan that could be affecting the initial startup process for the fan.

Solution
well this gaming pc is for my friend although I will be going back over to help out with cable managment as we ran out of time and just wanted to get the OS running on it and get him started with some basic games ex: league, csgo and yes i connected front fan to one of the 4 pins so i should be able to controll speed via software but mabey something is blocking it from starting up properly or just low voltage so yes when i get the chance to connect it to the psu i will replay back! and for the other 2 exaust fans they are 3 pins and we plugged them into 2 4 pins and then startup and work just fine. Thank you so much for the support!
