Brand new computer slowing down Internet

We have just bought a brand new HP 24-e030na all-in-one PC and when connecting it to the Internet today by a wireless connection, it has caused the Internet to be pretty much non-existent on other computers, tablets and phones connected wirelessly to the network (all devices were working normally with good internet speed before the new one was connected). Any help would be much appreciated as surely a brand new computer shouldn't be slowing the internet to an almost standstill on other computers.

How long ago was it put on the network? It's possible it's downloading or server Windows Updates via P2P

Is the new computer updated all the way? Could be pulling down whatever Windows updates it missed while sitting in the warehouse.
