Brand new Corsair HX1000i died almost instantly

I recently bougth all new parts to build a new PC, and today I assembled it and tried it out.

However 5 minutes into installing windows, I heard a loud boom and my power died. Afterwards I couldn't turn on my PC, so I took the PSU out and tried the "Fan Test", however it doesn't start. I assume the PSU is dead, but with no other PSU to test with, do you think my other components got hurt as well?

Other components are usually fine due to the PSU's built in protections.
