brand new cpu can i store

so i have a brand new cpu its an i5 7600k can i leave it in the box until i get the parts to use it with or will it end uo not working if i just leave it in the box for too long?

You can leave it in its box until you need it.

CPUs are not perishable goods but keeping it unused too long cuts on it's warranty period.
