Sorry If i posted this in the wrong section. Still new to the site.

Today I bought a brand new gigabyte z97x-ud3h, due to my old motherboard failing. I installed it today as well, and everything seems to be fine. The system posts fine, and boots into windows without a hitch. All my fans spin, gpu works, cpu fan and cooler work, ssd and hdd are recognized. Yet for some reason none of the rear IO will not work at all. This being the usb ports and Ethernet port. The first thing I did was install the newer drivers via cd, and that did nothing. Next I checked to see if the pch lan controller and IO ports were enabled in the BIOS, they were. I then checked my device manager to see if they were being recognized at all, and surely enough all the usb ports and Ethernet network adapter were recognized. I've tried multiple Ethernet cables and multiple flash drives that should work 100% as i tested them on my laptop, but didn't work when I tried them. I've tried plugging my mouse and keyboard, which work with the front IO, into the rear IO and nothing. I don't think I shorted the nic or ports as when I plug an ethernet cord in it at least lights up. I honestly have no clue how to fix this. It's brand new and should have no problems, but I guess I just have bad luck with motherboards.

tldr: Bought a new motherboard, rear IO doesn't work. Feel like i've tried every solution. idk anymore. gg gigabyte

also, idk if this helps but here are my specs:
gtx 970
i7 4770k
16gb of ram
1tb hdd
120ssd

I updated the bios, did nothing. Just reset the CMOS by taking out the battery, did nothing. Unistalled the drivers and reinstalled them did nothing. Took apart my entire pc, and rebuilt the entire thing, did nothing. At this point I have no clue how to fix it. I guess i'll just have to return the motherboard for a different one.

Well, I was able to fix the issue by reformatting my hdd and ssd and doing a clean install of windows! My guess as to why this worked for anyone else who could have the same problem or is currently having the same problem would be drivers conflicting with each other, and by doing a clean install of windows it was able to install only the necessary drivers.
