Just got a new 1060 Dual 6GB. It was working and displaying on my monitor and I downloaded the drivers. After putting the computer back in place (unplugging and replugging) it stopped working. I know I have the required psu and the 6pin connector is in. Plugging the display cord into the motherboard also gives no signal. Any ideas?

Solution
Make sure the power connectors are all the way in. If they are loose or wobble when you touch the power connectors, they are not properly in place. Also, make sure the GPU is firmly in the PCI-e socket. If the PCI-e lock is not up and holding down the graphics card when the GPU is in the socket, you need to firmly push it back into place to seal the connection.

Hope this helps.

Just checked this, they were all fine. I also put in my old gpu and its giving me the same problem. I think its safe to say that during replacement I may have broken the port? I dont have another pcie port to test this theory. If anyone else has any ideas I'd like to here them, otherwise I will purchase a new mb soon.

If your Motherboard is still under RMA, then I would replace it. It seems, even with the old GPU, with the problem still persisting the motherboard PCI-e might have been damaged. Does your board have another PCI-e, and are you sure it might not be a problem with your monitor?

Sorry, your earlier post was right. It seemed like the card clicked in and it was held down but after refitting it a couple of times i realised one side wasnt going in properly. Thanks!

No problem. A common PC building mistake that can be easily fixed. Good thing you decided not to buy or RMA your motherboard. But just make sure that everything is firmly in place before booting up. Hope that 1060 6GB works out great.

Drivers are the worst in my opinion. I had to freshly install my GPU drivers because when watching YouTube videos, my computer would randomly white screen. I had to hard reset, go back into safe mode, used DDU to uninstall the drivers and CCleaner as well. Then go back into regular mode and install and reset (happened a couple of times). Wish drivers weren't so finicky. But hey, that one of the many things a custom PC keeps you busy. Hopeful yours won't be as a pain.
