I have a really old build used to have a core Radeon r5230 and wanted a little higher than 10 FPS so bought a asus gtx 1660 ti and saw that the minimum power was 450 W and I only had 350 W now I bought a 650 W power supply and the monitor still won’t turn on With the computer running and posting Delete I have already deleted the old graphics driver I have tried the rubber trick

After using switching to the old graphics card I found out that the new driver was blocked for some reason I was unable after using switching to the old graphics card I found out that the new driver was blocked for some reason I was unable to load the UI due to security reasons even trying to run as administrator still doesn’t work

There is no power to the USB I have a motherboard asus a 88XM – plus and the PCI 3.0×16 connector should work so I don’t think that’s it. Legit watched probs like 2hours worth of videos on it

Just looking for anything to try that could make it work

[EDIT: I mistakenly hit enter while typing out my post. I wasn't actually finished.]

Remove the gpu, and boot the PC.
Download Display Driver Uninstaller. Link: https://www.wagnardsoft.com/
Download the driver package for the R5 230, but do NOT install it yet. Link: https://www.amd.com/en/support/grap...es/amd-radeon-r5-200-series/amd-radeon-r5-230
Disconnect your internet - it's to stop windows from installing default drivers.

Now, run DDU(requires safe mode). Once it has done it's thing, you can install the graphics drivers for the R5 230, and then reconnect to the internet.
This should allow the old card to work.

Now, I need you to open the PC up and find the motherboard's model number. It's usually printed in bold letters and numbers on the board itself.
This is so I can find out if your prebuilt is using a custom motherboard or not.

Hopefully this is right MSIP - REM - MSQ A88XM -plus

Well, that's not a good sign. This most likely points to Asus having custom bios on both the old gpu and motherboard.
This is bad because when OEMs such as Asus, Hp, Lenovo, etc. have custom bioses on their motherboards, they are very limited on the kind of upgrades you can do.

Ok. I have to ask you to run DDU again, BEFORE THAT, download the R5 230 driver package from here: https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics-Cards/R5230SL2GD3L/HelpDesk_Download/
Disconnect the internet again, run DDU, then install the driver and reconnect your internet.

Do you have a pic of cpu-z(mainboard) as requested?
