Hello, I got a m.2 drive for the first time. I was looking forward to benchmarking it.
My specs if it matters first.
Operating System
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i5 @ 2.90GHz 29 °C
Coffee Lake 14nm Technology
RAM
16.0GB Dual-Channel Unknown @ 1064MHz (15-15-15-36)
Motherboard
ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. PRIME B365M-K (LGA1151) 32 °C
Graphics
S22D300 (1920x1080@59Hz)
DELL U2410 (1920x1200@60Hz)
4096MB ATI Radeon RX 570 Series (Gigabyte) 44 °C
Storage
223GB Western Digital WDC WDS240G2G0B-00EPW0 (SATA (SSD)) 32 °C
1863GB Seagate ST2000DL003-9VT166 (SATA ) 33 °C
223GB Crucial CT240BX500SSD1 (SATA (SSD)) 37 °C
Optical Drives
No optical disk drives detected
Audio
AMD High Definition Audio Device
Problem is every benchmark software I have tried so far, my Crucial SATA Internal SSD beats it everytime.
I was expecting my new m.2 to win by plenty. Thats why i brought the thing.
Its a Green Western Digital 240GB m.2 Drive, now I presume it is because I have my OS installed and running from it, it could be giving me false results?
All benchmarking softwares like UserBenchMark, Hard Disk Sentinel, MiniTool Partition Wizard run from Windows, I'm just hoping my C drive is giving me false results, otherwise i'm disappointed, I would be been better off buying a regular SATA SSD. 🙁
