[SOLVED] Brand new Motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, and PSU, but wont boot

Having a problem here, brand new parts, computer will not boot.

The motherboard LED's light up when the switch on the PSU is on.

Computer powers for about 1 second, all fans spin, LED on the case flashes, then, nothing, the only thing that doesn't turn off is the motherboard LED's.

Have tried booting without the GPU, booting with 1 stick of ram, swapping the PSU (we've tried 3)

your cpu is not on the support list for this board you need a 8 or 9 generation of intel cpu for this board look at the specs .

Could you explain this to me? As far as I knew if the socket was compatible then you're good to go.

this same socket but generation 6 https://ark.intel.com/fr/products/88195/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-Processor-8M-Cache-up-to-4-20-GHz- and boar use gen 8 or 9 so this cpu wont work with .

yes the socket is correct, the CHIPSET is not. z170 or z270 would have been what you were looking for
