Brand New MSi gtx 1060 6gb ocv1 dual fan. temp going up to 82C??

My msi 1060 6gb OCV1 dual fan graphics card is overheating. It hits 82C in heaven benchmark when the casing is closed and with default fan curve. After setting a very aggressive fan curve and removing side panel, I was able to decrease the temp. to 76 77 C on 99% usage in heaven benchmarks. Are these temperatures normal or Do I have a faulty piece? Please note that no Air Conditioner is running in my room and the casing is a simple miniATX with 1 small intake fan and one relatively higher rpm exhaust fan.

You are in the right ballpark considering your case and lack of a cool room.
The OC version of the same card runs at the same clocks and hits 70c.
