Brand new pc artifacting

hi everyone,just got my new pc today

CPU:i5-4690k
GPU:GIGABYTE gtx 770
mobo:z97x-ud3h
psu:antec vp700p
RAM:8gb goldkey ddr3 1600 cas 11 (using this temporarily until i get my ripjawsx)

my pc started artifacting as i was setting my partitions up to install windows meaning it artifacts on startup so i let windows install and it still artifcacted on start up and windows,now im pretty sure my gpu is dead since when i plugged dvi cable into mobo there was no artifacting but i just wanna confirm that its my gpu,thanks.

I tend to agree with your faulty GPU assessment. Do you have another system you could install it into to confirm?

You are probably right, I would just suggest trying to reseat the GPU inside your case and change the power cables you are using to juice it and update motherboard bios but this is more of a very long shot.
