So I am completely new to owning a pc, so I have no idea what im really talking about here or where im supposed to post this, but I keep getting BSODs whenever I play games or sometimes am on social media or whatever,

my build is

Asrock Fatal1ty H170 gaming mobo
Gigabyte GEFORCE GTX 970 g1 gaming
i5 Intel 6500k cpu
2x4gb Ripjaw G skill ddr4 ram
500w psu
Windows 8.1

Ive had this for almost 2 weeks now and ive spent more time trying to fix it than actually playing it, Ive searched almost everywhere for a solution and have had two of my mates who are smart computer guys (for lack of better term) have a look at it and they are stumped,

screens include

memory management
page fault in non paged area
system service exception
and critical structure corruption

Is my brand new pc completely buggered or is there some hope left yet? the thing cost me
$1400 to build so im as you can expect pretty bummed out right now.

Solution
1) Test the RAM by MemTest86 http://www.memtest86.com/download.htm because you had the BSOD about the memory management error.
2) May update the BIOS, but that may kill the oc feature. But the newer BIOS may improve DRAM compatibility. http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20H170%20Performance/?cat=Download&os=BIOS
3) system service exception maybe caused by the GPU driver https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/hardware/ff558949%28v=vs.85%29.aspx you can try use the DDU to uninstall the driver in safe mode, then go to nvidia site to get the newer one, even try the old version too.
DDU http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
4) Other error related to the hardware or the driver too...

5) So try update all the drivers, even the BIOS. You can go to intel, nvidia to get the newer drivers, or use the software like Driver Booster or something else.
6) What is your PSU?
