Hello! I don't know too much about PC's, but I just bought a brand new PC, and it seems pretty fine, but I can't run Rocket League without having serious FPS issues?

This is the first time im starting this PC - so I downloaded the Strix Graphics Driver that came with the PC.

Spec's:

Processor: i5-6600K @ 3.5 GHz
8 GB DDR4-Ram
64-bit
Graphics Card: ASUS Strix GTX 970

And I can't play Rocket League?? Even on the worst settings.

Solution

That sounds like you connected your screen to the motherboard, not the graphics card. Might be the reason for your fps trouble.

I just realized that when I'm trying to open Nvidia Task Manager, it gives me an error message saying that I'm not using any screen that is connected to a Nvidia GPU. Does this have anything to say, just before going further?

Oh. There are a few display outputs on your computer. It sounds like you are using your Intel graphics, unplug your display cable from the outputs on your motherboard, and put it into one of the outputs below it.

Make sure you display is actually connected to the NVIDIA graphics card and not the internal motherboard graphics(integrated graphics) port.
You may have installed the new graphics card, but your monitory may still be connected to the standard graphics on the motherboard. If you bought your PC completely built, it may have come with two graphics ports. One for the integrated video/graphics card(not very good) and your nice GTX 970 Nvidia card.

Either way, make sure your monitor is actually connected to the Nvidia graphics card and that it is set as the display output for your computer. Many times the graphics driver will detect which port is connected and will auto switch to that port. If not you'll have to manually set the display port you need to be active.
