Brand new PC won't display anything on monitor

I just built my kids their first gaming pc, but I can't get anything to display on the monitor. I have an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, MSI B450M Pro-VDH motherboard, XFX Radeon HD 6850 gpu and 8gb Patriot Viper RAM. I'm at a complete loss as to what the problem is.

There is no onboard video with the ryzen 3/5/7 series. You need a graphics card. Or something like a 2200g

Crap, I forgot to add my gpu to the list, I have a Radeon HD 6850 as well.

I assume your monitor is plugged into the GPU, not the motherboard?

Yes, the monitor is plugged into the gpu, not the motherboard.

Well, I unplugged everything from my motherboard and plugged it all back in. I followed the guide that ss202sl posted and I still get nothing. But on my motherboard, there is this EZ debug led system, and the BOOT led now lights up, it's never done that before. What does that mean?
