Question Brand new USB keyboard stops working

I just got a new keyboard 3 days ago and it worked fine until today when I left my computer on overnight (roughly 6 hours) Now, it won't work no matter which usb port I plug it into. (the usb ports are all functional) Why won't it work?

Have your tried the keyboard on another computer?

Have you tried another known working USB keyboard on your computer?

Determine if the problem follows the keyboard or stays with your computer.

If the latter then the keyboard may have been defective and failed.

Lastly, update your post to include keyboard make and model. There may be some known history of failures and problems.

I tried the keyboard on another computer, it didn't work. I tried plugging my friend's keyboard into my computer, it did work. The keyboard is a reccazr mechanical keyboard.
